Possibly so as he did invite me  directly ... I have been round the site and
it looks standard software wise , so Paul (Maddox) may have the only
answers...but it does work for some at least ...

I seem to recall Paul (Maddox) saying that he had to start approving new
signups manually due to spammers. It's possible that the people having
problems are new signups, not yet approved - and that the software is
exhibiting a spot of user-unfriendliness in the message it is giving.
