The 741 is dog-slow and bulletproof. No phase reversal, no nasty high-frequency
oscillations ('cause its dog-slow :^).  I bet you could wire one up as a space heater
or a miniature frying pan without actually burning it out...

Its a really useful opamp. If stranded on a desert island, I'd take the 741 over the LM324
any day :^)
