In the CV path its likely that no one cares, otoh why waste an expensive and power-hungry
opamp where its strong points go totally to waste.

I never use a NE5532 unless my input resistors are around 1K. Its REAL good for a 600 ohm

For a high impedance input (more than 10K) its not worth using.

unless you're all out of 741's :^)

Ignoring the offset issue...

Realistically, how much thermal noise does a 100K resistor generate, and is it important in a unity gain circuit, with typical synth CV levels?  If we're talking micro volts of noise in a CV path, does anyone care?
