trouble with inductors is that they are coils of wire wrapped on (usually) ferrite cores, they make
excellent receiving antennas (antenni ?).
You should also consider twin-tee based designs (google Fred B Maynard twin tee)

my first question on inductor based "tanks" are these large inductors or small?
I would mess around with some of these mini drum circuits if I thought the inductors were small enough to order from Mouser
I always get confused by which size mH stands for (mill?)
