[sdiy] Nut Question

Hi Folks

I have a rotary encoder which will be used to set parameters on my ADSR
unit. It lacks a washer/nut to fix it to a panel.

The dimensional drawing shows the OD of the thread as 6.8mm. However,
what it does NOT say is what size nut/washer I require. Can anyone who
understands the Black Art of Fasteners advise?

Whilst I have a knob for it, it's a rather ugly, bulky thing. Given a
6mm shaft, do I need to source a 6mm knob, or do 1/4" knobs also work on
this shaft size?

I though of resorting to hot glue, but thought I might as well take the
correct route ;-)

Cheers

M
