I'm quite happy to give you some hosting as long as the storage and bandwidth isn't ridiculous, but there's no way in hell I'm setting up FTP.  If you see a server with FTP on it, that's a sure sign that it's been rooted ;-)

You can have SFTP or scp.  FTP might not be dead yet, but it certainly does smell like it.
