[sdiy] My Fatman and FPGA Synth Website Is Going Away

Hi all,

Today I got an email from Verizon that stated a change in security requires
them to remove FTP access to my Fatman and FPGA synth website.

The only way I can access the site is to use their crappy website builder
which is a kluge that doesn't allow me to simply post my HTML pages, at
least not that I can find. I had been making updates by using FTP to push
the new pages. I can still have a site there with their magnanimous 30
megabytes of space, but I am stuck with their stupid templates, none of
which I want to use because they look stupid and because of all the extra
crap they add to the pages. For example, I don't want the Verizon logo nor
do I want their stupid toolbar as part of _my_ pages.

So as of August 22, 2011, I will be taking the site down and it won't go
back up again until I can find a free, _stable_ site for it where I can FTP
my pages.

Sorry for the lack of any real synth-DIY content...
