[sdiy] location for 5v in casio cz101 - backlit lcd installation

I've often wanted to do something like that to my CZs.
FWIW I've run my two 101s from unregulated supplies (nominally 9
volts - but usually more or less by a volt or two when measured at
the CZs input) rated at 500mA. The machines stated consumption is 5.4
watts.
T4s collector sees the supply voltage. It appears to be the main
regulator - I think the others are for the headphone amp and the auto-
power-off circuit. Vdd is at the emitter (mine measures 4.87v, with
7.9v on the collector - it seems to be fairly tolerant of undervoltage).
I can't see if there is any provision for overvoltage protection. I
do know from experience it is tolerant of reverse polarity briefly!
Do you know how much current your mod will draw? Are there details
online? It's a fairly tight space in there...
cheers
Adam
