[sdiy] location for 5v in casio cz101 - backlit lcd installation

I'm working on installing a Sparkfun backlit LCD in a CZ101.  Looking
at the schematics it appears that pin 3 of T4 should be the collector
and should be outputting VDD which I assume is 5v for all the cmos
logic chips. Can anyone confirm these assumptions? Also, I don't have
any 9v supplies with enough current lying around, is the cz101 power
circuit sufficiently designed to not die if I run it off of 12v?
Sorry if these seem like dumb questions, I've been searching the web
and as this isn't my synth, I don't really want to go the trial and
error route.
