 From where did you learn about this - is this something I'm going to 
come across as I work through Lancaster's 'Active Filter Cookbook' or 
does it need to come from elsewhere?  (And do I *really* need it, 
assuming I'm building from a cookbook approach rather than designing 
from first principles?)
