[sdiy] POLL: Blue LEDs: Results!

Thanks to everyone that chipped in on this - pretty impressive turn out for an impromptu poll.

For those that are interested:

Q: Blue LEDs on music hardware:

A) Love 'em
B) Hate 'em
C) Yeah whatever

Exactly 50 responses - and so I don't get called out on this, the results I'm publishing here include 1 person who answered just after I published the results on Twitter and 1 person who didn't get counted originally.

A) 12
B) 19
C) 19

1) Everyone who responded was counted as either A, B or C. If you said e.g. "Sometimes I like pink LEDs but sometimes I like ice cream." - you were counted as C. If you said e.g. "I HATE ALL LEDs... and Christmas!" you were counted as B. Simple.

2) 14 Respondents specifically mentioned brightness and or diffusion as being the most important factor in their decision. i.e. "I hate LEDs that are too bright" or "I don't mind blue LEDs that are diffused". This was more than any other reason given. The second most frequent reason was that they look 'dated'.

3) People who dislike blue LEDs - REALLY dislike them. FYI, hearing someone say they weren't going to buy a particular piece of kit because it had blue LEDs was my reason for the poll.

4) You know what they say about opinions.
