Regarding LFO (where the L is as low as about half the sampling rate of 
your system): If you want additional waveforms just for low frequency 
use then why not try and calculate the samples at control rate? The 
calculations are trivial for most common waveforms used in LFOs and you 
don't have to worry about aliasing. Just a random thought, have not 
followed the entire discussion of what you want to achieve and how far 
you've actually gotten yet.
