The Pipe organs in Wanamaker Philadelphia (Marcys) and Atlantic City
Convention center are said to be the biggest on the planet, particularly
the Wanamaker it contains 28500 pipes! Stunning, tuners hell!

These organs come to it's right when pieces like *Komm süsser Tod*
*Come, Sweet Death* by Bach are played, Virgil Fox for instance.

Bad youtube thing, http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBIQtwIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DXje4OYalB5Q&ei=_i08TeH5M8ScOu3VmZ8L&usg=AFQjCNG8SIzCwRDArHPm_1RYAzzopHMAEg

A interesting happening are about to be done now in march , Metropolis! http://www.wanamakerorgan.com/

Anyhow i have never heard a decent pipe organ emulation some of it
could perhaps be related to the reverbiation enviroment organ reside
in.(leaving the emotional impact of religion and/or shopping out).

But how to emulate the Wanamaker Organ, 28500 interacting psychical
models? One gigantically big stack of 2op FM or.....?

Yamaha exploited this in their home organs early on during the
FM years but how is it done today by organ manufacturers?

Like the piano (Tom W) discussed earlier wouldn't something similarly
like the 3 string problem appear here with the pipes in close proximity
to each other as well as each rank being seated into the same blower
frame or something? standing waves, brief phase cancellation, mechanical
vibrations etc...

Ideas?

Regards
KD.
