Not that common, I complained to the FCC about a illegal transmitter
and got no response.

However, even with an amateur license, still can't legally transmit music.
The only bands you could put the stuff on would be subject to lots of
interferance. Best bet would be convert the audio to a digital signal and
use that for your wireless.
