As an aside - I seem to recall some discussion about the CS-80 sawtooth having a little blurp like that, which some folks theorized was part of the CS-80 sound. (Probably a different phenomenon arising for a different reason, but it jogged my memory).

Ah, yes, that blurp is from a one-shot in the CS-80 VCO. So it's coming from a different source than the Buchla Pulser blurp, probably...
There's a beautiful MOTM-ish-looking board at the bottom of that page... who wants to build one?* :)
