No, but based on that photo, it doesn't look totally crazy. At least it is based on lots of smaller boards connected with nice floppy wires, instead of being one enormous PCB that has to be sawn in half and then repaired with wires to replace cut tracks.
For example, try rack mounting a Pro-One. Simple! After all, it's only one PCB. Unfortunately that PCB is 24" wide....
