Absolutely! The dss-1 has character!
I bought the first available one in germany, it even came without a box. The dealer brought it from korg germany on the backseat of his car on a weekend, even without a box :-D

I worked 6 weeks in shifts during the school summer holidays to be able to buy this thing.

It would break my heart to take it apart, too many memories, heart's blood and sweat went into this.
