That article mentions several times Dr. Kincaid's lack of marketing skill, but clearly from the text even with the assistance of a skilled marketing professional & NAMM veteran, the synths did not sell, so maybe that wasn't really his problem. The problem was perhaps as the article also suggests, that keyboards with presets were more in vogue at the time than modular synths.
Perhaps the article should be revised to eliminate that contradictory criticism of the man? Even if true, it appears to have had no bearing on the market response, at least according to the text as I read it.
