Also, it's not AVR or PIC code, but you might be able to learn a lot by looking at Lynx Crowe's code for the Buchla 700 and OB-Mx:

(Note some of the GaTech IT systems are down today for some fixing-up-stuff-before-start-of-semester maintenance; if you can't get to one of my pages, try again much later today or tomorrow).
(It should also be noticed that Lynx had some significant health issues a while back and as a result never got a chance to clean up the OB-Mx code; also, it's just the code for the voice boards. I think someone else did the code for the user interface).
