I gather from your two questions that you are new to programming in 
general? Then you probably won't benefit that much from the classic 
"Kernighan & Ritchie - The C Programming Language 2nd ed." because it 
assumes you are already familiar with certain concepts. Otherwise that's 
the book I'd recommend. It's size (among other qualities) makes it 
nearly ideal as a sort of desktop reference for anyone learning C by 
actively using the language.
