[sdiy] eBay sniping software

Following on from "Re: [sdiy] ebay internal shill bidding":

Previously I tended to bid manually in the last 10 seconds or so. I
just installed the open-source Java JBidwatcher by Morgan Schweers:

  http://www.jbidwatcher.com/

but haven't used it yet. It needs to be running on the PC when the
auction comes to an end. The time interval for placing the bid can be
set, and defaults to 30 seconds before the auction ends.

Since it is written in Java, it can run on Mac, Windows, Linux,
Solaris or I guess anything else with a Java virtual machine.

I assume that being open source, it is highly unlikely to have any
deliberate security back-door functions. There is no cost for using
the program. There is a PayPal donate button in the application
itself. Looking at the source code, I see it has been developed since
2000 and the code seems to be reasonably well commented.
