Barry,

The X-Rails come with a nut strip that slides into a channel in the extrusion
and takes an M3 screw. The ends of the rails are pre-tapped for M4 screws.

Subject: [sdiy] modular rack systems?

I'm confused... Recently there was this youtube
video on the tiptopaudio rack system. It looked like
the rails were pre-tapped. And yet rails are commonly
available with channels for captive nuts. Why would
a pretapped solution be preferrable?
