Hi!

The W30 Service manual says that it is a LM240142 LCD (PN RL-15029487 from ROLAND).
If you need I could give you the LCD module pinout out of the schematics.
But I found no datasheet for the display.

Replacement displays are available here but very expensive:
http://www.vintageplanet.nl/pages/roland.html look for "LM240142"

Ciao
Peter

I don't believe there is anything special about the particular one in
the W-30. As long as it has the exact same register API as the old
one then it stands a good chance of working. Try it out and see what
happens! At worst you'll get a blank display or garbled display. Oh,
and the display driver in is EPROM, not on disk, so tricky to update.

Cheers,
Neil
