It was both.  Once I got it where I could see things, the headphone jack 
was indeed shorted together on the power signals which..hopefully didn't 
damage the power amps at all.  The 301 op amp IC27 was fried so that the 
inputs offset the voltage meanwhile also creating a confusing picture 
when I tried crossing the signals with the 1/8" jacks.  Anyway that 
part's all good now with a new op amp.  Now have to figure out why the 
S+H isn't responding to the noise slider and why the reverb isn't 
working though the can is good.  And I think the voltage processors 
weren't working either.  Other than that it looks like it's all good!  
Printing the module for the S+H now... -Bob
