Maintaining existing designs? Given this news it would not surprise
me if NS EOLed the LM13700 soon.
My *guess* is that CoolAudio pick up these old analogue chip lines
from the larger semi co's when they EOL them, as the grey market for
these things is quite large and so worth running a few wafers through
the fab. Also explains their pricing - when you order only then do
they slice up a wafer and package the dies. Its cheap to keep wafers
in storage.
