I love this quote from pp. 20-21 of David Allen's "Making it All Work":

"Nothing's new except how frequently everything is new... in the last three days you have probably received for change-producing, project-creating, and priority-shifting input than your parents received in a month... Such upheavals happened relatively so seldom in their world, they just tolerated the stress. You are living in a near-constant state of it, as your adoption of new technology has permitted all kinds of things to be landing in your e-mail and your voice mail, and any one of which could undermine what you think your priorities should be."

Checking out the datasheet... interesting... interesting... aaack! Teensy tiny QSOP packaging! (And kind of pricey, $5.85 for 1, $4.68 for 25 at Mouser, although it's around the same price as a THAT2180 which is a single VCA).
