Of course, this is generally true.  However, the vexing thing it that, other
than TL07x, I doubt there is a single IC more useful to analog synth design
than the 2164.  It's the natural go-to chip anytime a voltage-controlled
resistor is called for, and it's exponential response makes 1V/oct control
of oscillators and filters a snap.  Let's just hope that Coolaudio keeps
making it (or, perhaps, that Behringer keeps using it).
