Not to blow my own horn (I can't blow my own horn, since I don't really
grok waveguide synthesis yet and my current attempts at a blown horn
require "air" at the sort of pressures associated with automotive
hydraulics) but I knocked up a usable prototype two-oscillator "virtual
analogue" on an AVR328 in an afternoon. Even adding a real analogue
filter only took another fifteen minutes, the first five spent searching
for my huge big roll of 1N4148s...

The FPAA stuff sounds interesting, but if it takes that long to get
anything working, I'm not sure how long I could keep enthusiasm for
it ;-)
