I've used Eagle to draw some circuits and while I could imagine that
other software packages do better in some respected, I very much doubt
that any of them would make me a whole lot happier overall, especially
since Eagle works well on Mac OS and GNU/Linux, the easy availability
makes it trivial to share schematics with other people, I can hand in
Eagle files (among others) to the local electronics store to make PCBs,
and the free version has been sufficient for my needs. Not that I draw
many schematics for posterity anyway.

But I have no strong feelings about any of the points that some people
who might use these tools commercially or for more than a little hobby
stuff care about. Besides, if I want to draw a quick schematic I use a
pencil and a sheet of paper or if it's part of a LaTeX document I'll use
circuitikz anyway.
