I don't think so.  I looked up the SSM2164 and it is listed as "Still in
production but not recommended for new designs" and of the seven types
available, about half are listed as "Obsolete" and the rest as "Last Time
Buys".  That doesn't sound very promising.

However, Coolaudio is still making the V2164 clone, and I have to think it's
a major seller (we just bought 2000 of them in SMD, and will probably buy
more shortly).
