together...

I'd really recommend soldering a couple up. It isn't difficult, and you'll
get a better quality result. Furthermore, since the plugs aren't moulded on,
you'll be able to repair them should you ever need to. In practice, I've got
several very short MIDI cables I made to connect up the back of a stack of
rack gear many years ago, and I've never had any trouble from any of them.
