[sdiy] Midi cables

Does anyone know of anyone short MIDI cables , reasonable quality or even
expensive just not cheap build quality, i.e. Neutrik connectors, maximum
length  about 8 inches ...the shorter the better...
I want to put a unit (one of Olivier's wonderful Shruthi)as close as
possible to the controller keyboard (a Microkorg XL) ,or have I just got to
bite the bullet and make my own ? It is all about minimalism, and 1 or 1.5
metre cables don't cut the mustard in that department , nor do those 30 cm
ones via Thomann which look like they were built buy Grundig in the early
70, pressed out of coated tin(g).
Any pointers gratefully received,
