Hi Dave,

He was not too particular about pronunciation as I recall. I call him just
Harald.

Back then I could still speak some German pretty well from school. And he
loved it when I would speak to him in German and it help me some to learn
from someone besides my Professor.

Yes, I believe he is the originator of the BODE plots. I never thought to
ask him that question as I was still the new kid wanting to build things and
it was better to listen than talk. He was such a high impact on me as a
young man and a good teacher of Audio control and processing.
