Interesting. Well, if the clock signal would just be mixed into the
audio signal, then it would be no big deal - but if it appears
differently depending on the audio signal level etc (which I would
expect) then it could be really tough to get rid of.

I haven't seen the E1010 schematics (or similar units), but if anybody
wants to share it I'd gladly open my inbox wide. :-)
