most synths were built with slide switches to meet strict price points. I'd go with better switches
whenever possible (unless you are looking to make an exact replica)

The Oberheim switches look a lot like switchcraft slide switches. If you 
search at mouser with switchcraft slide switch they show up. Most of them 
are not for PCB mount but for frontpanel mounting. But you can cut of the 
solder lugs and mount them on a pcb.
