| Subject: [sdiy] PCB Help - Euro Connector Direction
|
| Can someone who is a Euro-format modular user please look at the pcb
| layout at the following link to see if it is facing the right
direction
| for the cable to hang off the back of the module and not hang off
toward
| the back of the panel please? I don't have any 3U modules to compare
it
| too. Thanks!

| It's for the new batch of Resonant Lopass Gate boards.

I'm not sure I understand the question here, but your board's 'euro
power connector' shows -12v at the top, assuming the resonance pot is
the lower control. This would break with Doepfer's de-facto standard of
red stripe (negative) to the bottom - requiring a half-turn twist in the
ribbon.
If you use the board with resonance pot as the upper control then,
obviously, no twist!
If you are referring to the way the ribbon is crimped into the header
plug then, again, standard Doepfer ribbons expect neg at the bottom.
I don't think it is a huge issue though, it's just a ribbon!

HTH, Alan
