Hi Paul and Eric!

I also have the Saleae Logic. A very nice and easy to use tool and has nice Analyzer for Serial, I2C, SPI and single wire bus. But it is limited to 24MHz sampling.

You can load the software and check it out - runs as demo without the hardware and generates test signal for nice testing as demo.

At work I have the Intronix LA1034, a 34 channel 500MHz Logic analyzer.
Faster, more powerful and also with serial, I2C and so on analyzers.

The software also works as demo without the hardware.

I can recommend both. For simple and slower projects (Singlechip AVR, Arduino,...) I use the Saleae Logic and for faster projects and more test signals (like address/control/data busses) I use the Intronix.

Never tried it, but it looks like it's your basic Cypress USB2.0 device
with an FPGA on for extra fun. Cute and possibly open for additional
uses if you can load the FPGA up with alternate configurations. Pretty
good price too.
