Y-ellow Gordon 'n' all.
         Ruffled someone's feathers already did I? :)

No I agree with you. tReason is one of the biggest, shiniest turds of them
all. Users have been asking for it to be able to handle patch changes since
version 3. Now they're at version 6. So instead of fixing all the
fundamental flaws in it, they decided to roll in all the other useless crap
they couldn't sell. As if somehow, that's going to make it any more shiny.
I was told the other day it's still not selling. The music shop I use to
work for here isn't even going to bother ordering it in.

For the record, I'm one of THOSE linux people too. Only I don't have time
on my side anymore. I either make music now or give up. And sands for a
working sampler, I'd be making music again now. I loath the idea of having
to resort to using Micro$oft products but if this Yamaha box is a boat
anchor, what choice to I have?

Using linux for everything was the original goal by the way. I just don't
have the time to fight with it these days. And whatever solution I can
muster now, will, unfortunately, and in all likelihood, be the solution I
get locked into.

So if you do happen to find the lump of code that will allow linux to talk
to the A4K, I would be ever so grateful. Or even what it's called so that I
might at least try hunting it down myself. That would kill 2 birds right there.

Or if anyone finds a copy of A3Kdisky in the bottom of their sock draw for
that matter.

Thanks in advance.

Be absolutely icebox.
