All the companies I've worked for use Verilog for FPGA and ASIC design, 
so I've just gone with the flow: in-house training courses, plenty of 
experts to ask questions, access to 
$$$$$$...$$$$...pause....breath..$$$$$$$$$$$ tools, and so on.
