This is grim news.

I only knew Juergen from the work he did on DIY projects, but he was
definitely one of a kind. He always brought something interesting to the
boards he released, and I was very much looking forward to seeing his take
on a vocoder.

A friend of mine once made a comment about how there were a handful of
mysterious people who were responsible for nearly all of the original
content on the internet. I think Juergen easily qualified for that
distinction.

May his legacy live on in the many that he inspired over the years.
