Hi Tom,

I'm not sure, but seem to remember something by Curtis Roads which may 
be of interest.
Having a quick look on Amazon it seems like his book 'Microsound' is the 
one.
Perhaps his older Computer Music Tutorial may also have some pointers.
I *think* that they do get quite technical but perhaps someone else 
knows better.
Check a library, perhaps?
