[sdiy] FS: Korg Z1 for PARTS

Hi y'all -

I picked up a Z1 on eBay a few weeks ago, advertised as-is for parts. It's in beautiful cosmetic shape, except that it doesn't work. Upon further examination, someone poorly removed two of the SMT flash ROMs off the motherboard, and my soldering skills aren't up to rebuilding ripped traces for surface-mount parts (nor sourcing the parts, which Korg doesn't have). The DSP board for the second 6 voices is there, so maybe it'd be worth it to rip that out, add it to the Z1 you already have, then gut the keybed out of the keyboard for a project or something? Anyway, if this sounds interesting, please email me. As far as price, I've got $500 in it and would just like to get that back out of it.
