Scott, I just wanted to write you a quick email to thank you for the information

you sent my way. I'm sorry for the delay in doing this, I just haven't had a lot

of time to do so as the semester is wrapping up and I haven't had a chance to
check out what you sent me until now. Anyway, without further a due, "THANK
YOU!" Seriously! that is a lot of good information! I'm checking out demo boards

now and I hope to get started on this over the summer. The information you sent
me will most certainly be helpful!

Thanks again!
-Jim

Here's a tiny bit more regarding where to start:

IMO - There's no education like hello-world projects.

I did these with LEDs and switches, with the DAC module, with a rotary encoder,
and any other
base level device or concept. I built up from these simple things to more
complex collections
of simple things like numerically controlled oscillators and numerically
controlled filters.

This method strengthened my confidence and understanding of the ideas that would

culminate in
a complete functional synthesizer.

Sorry for the 3 emails about this, but it's been 4 or so years since I started
and as I
thought about "getting started" I remember things that I believe were important
to my progress.

I do hope this all helps you.
