This is a little bit OT, perhaps, but this thread reminded me of
something...

If you ever happen to be in downtown Seattle, make your way over to the
Sherman Clay store on 4th Ave and check out the Steinway "Olympia" piano
that world-famous glass artist (and Tacoma, WA hometown boy) Dale Chihuly
decorated for the 2002 Winter Olympics.  Here's a photo of it I found on the
web (there are many others):

It might give you some ideas about synth keyboards.

Incidentally (and really OT), if you're interested in Chihuly or glass art
at all, you've gotta visit the Museum of Glass in Tacoma.  Well worth it.
