I think we're safe with the 13700 for a while - if you search for LM13700 or NJM13700 on findchips.com, it seems there's multiple vendors on the "dollar" and the "pound" sides of the Atlantic that have stocks of 500 to 2000 of both through-hole and SMT versions.
