I think that the classic text on the philosophy of OO would be Gary 
Entsminger's 'The Tao of Objects.'

Got my copy second hand through www.abebooks.com for a couple of bucks - 
may be a good reference to understand the philosophy behind OO, as 
opposed to telling you how to do OO C. (Personally, I stick to 
procedural coding when I can - it's the way my mind works.)
