Yeah, I had a fresh engineering grad working for me who had never seen (or, 
I expect, even heard of) a 1% resistor.. he was really thrown by the "extra" 
band..
He did the worst layout I ever saw (using Protel, but with no idea that 
analog wasn't digital).
I kept him for 6 weeks so he could qualify to join the professional 
engineers' society, then he got a job with the Army.. hope it was all 
software..
