You can't paint using a graphics tablet? Like it ain't painting when 
you're using acrylic or gouache instead of oil? ;-)

The way I see it (when it comes to the enjoyable side of making things, 
be it code or hardware or something in-between) is: There are many ways 
to do it and some of those ways require less space, tools, bits and 
pieces and the money to afford all those -- let alone the free time to 
engange in thoughtfully re-arranging the mess you made last time and 
leave it worse than before. Not everyone has the right combination of 
those things. Not everyone can afford to have their worksprace cluttered 
permanently with "a bunch of cool stuff." It's nice if you can, but it's 
ultimately a luxury concern. Whatever makes one happy.
