Yeah, don't that suck! I went and bought a tube from Mouser, and
Jameco also has them in stock. They'll probably still be available for
a while, but may not be the same situation in a year or two. It's kind
of a shame, because I really like the XR-VCO design Thomas came up
with. OTOH, I still get people ordering 566 VCO boards, so the chip
going EOL isn't always the end of projects for that chip.
On the other hand, I have no idea where to get dot-matrix printer ribbons. ;)
Hey, anybody know of any schematics using the Exar 4151 VCO chip? I
think the Chroma or Polaris used that one. Right?
