It takes more planning but PostScript is up to the task.

The idea is not "if I align the indicator line with the 0.5
oct/V mark, I'll be playing in quarter tones". It's more like
"it's a 10 VPP triangle and the knob is at about 0.4 oct/V so
now I know what a +/-2 octaves warble sounds like".

I may be wrong but I don't think digicams can do that for you
yet.
